DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:
The project works on two parallel lines, both related to the local production of quality food of animal origin.
A camel milk production centre has been established with an associated herd of 60 sheep and goats, for the management of which funds will be obtained to maintain the camels.
Animals housed and fed in a rational and standardized way produce milk that is distributed to nutritionally vulnerable women.
At the same time, the intervention includes actions to improve local poultry slaughterhouse with the aim of reducing the total slaughter time and, consequently, making the fattening activity more sustainable.
All activities are accompanied by the training of local staff and awareness-raising for the refugee population.
