The project aims to improve the food safety, health and income of the Niger population by increasing the quantity and quality of animal products.
To achieve this ambitious goal, a VSF volunteer veterinarian will provide training for the veterinary staff.
Local veterinary services will also be supported in their annual preventive campaigns (vaccinations and anti-parasitic treatments) with economic funds and the purchase of bicycles to facilitate their movements.
Finally, an awareness-raising campaign targeting farmers will be carried out through the radio to help them understand the importance of investing in prevention to improve the health and production yields of livestock.
